Foam comes from emulsifying coffee oils with air—fresh coffee helps a lot.
Ingredients
- 2 oz vodka
- 1 oz fresh espresso or strong cold brew
- 0.5–0.75 oz coffee liqueur
- 0–0.25 oz syrup (to taste)
- Ice
Method
- Shake HARD (10–15 seconds)
- Double strain into a chilled coupe
- 3 coffee beans on top if you want the vibe
Fixes
- Too bitter: add a touch more syrup
- No foam: use fresher coffee and shake harder
